TRAVELS: South American Adventure

What an adventure.. flying all night to Buenos Aires, Argentina then boarding Celebrity Cruise LIne's beautiful Millennium for a 14 day cruise from Buenos Aires, around Cape Horn ending in Valparaiso, Chile.

We flew 4,400 miles from Miami to Buenos Aires, traveled 3,806 nautical miles on Millennium, and then flew another 3,900 miles home from Santiago.

Our conclusions.. it's a small world after all!!

Favorite momentS:

Buenos Aires: TANGO! and a wonderful dinner at Lomo (which is the word for prime filet of beef).

Life at Sea: EVERYTHING.. there's nothing not to like. But if I had to choose it would be our two fabulous 'dining experiences' at The Olympic specialty restaurant.

Runner Up: Hanging on the back deck with Miguel sailing through the fjords of Chile.

Ports of Call: Our journey over the moors of Falkland island to see the King Penguins was absolutely magical. If you only look at one album of photos, don't miss the king penguins. (screen two)

Santiago: Hmmm.. By the time we got to Santiago we were tired and Mike was getting sick. We did just a few things, but really enjoyed our comfortable hotel room and the excellent food from the Crowne Plaza restaurant. It was a good way to regroup for the long overnight flight home.
