What can I say.. It was a jolly good trip and a total surprise. It was an idea born on the deck of the island late one afternoon as the sun set. And it was a grand idea at that!
The NYJO 40th Anniversary was the impetus for the trip but it turned into a wonderful 10 day adventure and a delightful MAJOR detour on our annual southern migration from the Casco Bay Island to Key West.
Hands down my favorite moment was one long evening on Skye at our little country hotel where we met some delightful people. We all chatted about so many things until long past the time when the pub closed. Two Americans, two Brits and two Germans... a truly international evening. (The dinner was also really excellent)
