Hurricane Wilma--The Video
Yes, we shot some video. Are we nuts or what?

OK, so it's not the best quality, but we did manage to shoot some video of the flood surge after Hurricane Wilma.

So, if you've got some flavor of broadband internet, like DSL or cable, and if you're not Microsoft-averse, you can find the video here.

At its highest point, the water was about a foot deep in the garage. Fortunately, the house is a couple of feet higher than the garage, so the only water we got inside was what splashed through the windows where the hurricane shutters came open.

Incidentally, the video was shot with Karen's new still camera. Like most digital cameras, it can also take poor quality video. Since we had nothing else to do--and nowhere to go--while the water was rising, I thought we might as well try out the video feature. It worked well enough that I now hope to remember to shoot video when space aliens land here.

I imagine that we will also decline to evacuate when NASA tells us to leave because the aliens are coming.
