Abby Joins The Family

We're happy to announce that Abby, a 5 month old labradoodle puppy from Adhonays Labradoodles has joined the family. Ralph had been trying to let us know that he really wanted a sibling.. someone to chase sticks with... We finally got the hint and went looking for a little sister for him. When we saw Abby it was love at first sight.. This puppy is filled with joy. She loves to play, already follows her big brother everywhere, and will be a good match for him in size, temperament and love of life.

FYI: According to Wikipedia, a Labradoodle is a crossbred or hybrid dog created by crossing the Labrador Retriever and the Standard or Miniature Poodle. The Labradoodle was first deliberately bred in 1989, when Australian breeder Wally Conron first crossed the Labrador Retriever and Standard Poodle for Guide Dogs Victoria.[1]. His aim was to combine the low-shed coat of the Poodle with the gentleness and trainability of the Labrador. This provided a guide dog for the blind with less shedding, and hence more suitable for people with allergies to fur and dander. Today, Labradoodles are often used as Guide dogs, Assistance dogs, and Therapy dogs
