We spent our first nights on the ridge this past weekend living in Tim's trailer with THREE.. yes THREE dogs. (And we thought an 898 sq .ft. loft was small!) Mike got up early one morning to take a walk with the pups and shot a series of sunrise photos that have been combined into this pano. This spectacular view should be what we see each morning when the house is finished.

As much as we enjoy visualizing the finished product, getting the house GOING is of course, our primary focus these days. While we were up living on the lot we got to walk around and examine the holes being created by Josh and his crew from Big Rocks. Under the guidance of their skilled operators these BEASTS of modern excavation machinery do an amazing job of clawing their way through the rocks and earth to carve a place into the mountain for our home. So far, the leach field is finished, the septic tank in place, 4 of the 5 big water storage tanks are in place.. and the the house footprint is finished and we're ready to go vertical
Concrete is underway. The fooers have been poured. Unfortunatly, 80 MPH gusts caused a delay in setting the wall forms. Hopefully, the weather will cooperate and the walls will go up this week.
